Trekking in Monsoon

I was always fascinated by the unexplored and it was natural that trekking became a hobby from the time I can remember . Baby steps in trekking were in the jungles near the residential school on the road to Munnar where I studied . After that I have trekked a lot from Thekkady , Wayanad , Vaigai ,Haridwar , Dehradun , Rishikesh ,Rajastan , Madhya Pradesh . Now only the east of India remain :).

But there is nothing like trekking in Monsoon through India . Some snaps from the weekend trekking trip .

Disclaimer: Some of these snaps were not taken by moi.

Tribals , Nature , Fort and Me - Enjoy !

@ Nikhil: The place is between Mumbai and Pune and has two trading forts built by Shivaji :). Enough of clues

@Scorpio: Greenz in the rainy season is more than refreshing :)

@Flyaway: Monsoons are the best period for trekking . Most trekking places in India will have a similar feel at this time :)

@Scorpio: No not that far :). Certainly not in Konkan . This is between Mumbai and pune.

@dhanya:Yupz, Nearer to Pune than Mumbai.

@mathew , jo: Enough of clues :). The name of the place starts with R:)
