What is in a "Gandhi" name?

Juliet:

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."
Romeo and Juliet (II, ii, 1-2)

Juliet told Romeo that name is an artificial and meaningless convention according to Shakespeare.

It is not so.

The new Bandra- Worli Sea link in named after Rajiv Gandhi
The famous Connaught Place in Delhi was renamed as Rajiv Chowk.
The stadium in Kochi (May be the only international stadium in the world) is named as Jawaharlal Nehru "International" Stadium.

Every district in this country has one thing or the other thing named after someone from the "Gandhi" family.

Giving a "Gandhi" name to each and every thing in this country- Does it imply that no other families did anything during the freedom struggle or are not doing anything now for this country?

They're overdoing it now, arent they NC? The BWSL episode has really started giving itches to people. Sad, to see someone like Rajiv Gandhi being tarnished now by these cheap and dirty politicos.

btw what you think about the Mayavati statues? How will we describe ir dude? lol...

First time here and liked your blog very much.Well when the congress rules, the streets and stadiums will get renamed after the Gandhi family. But hilarious it would be if they named it Behenji circle where that statue will come up!This is a funny country ...
